Connecting to your roots

A 5 minute meditation

This month’s main article is about planning.  If you don’t know where you’re going then you can’t build a realistic creation.  Similarly, if you don’t put down roots to sustain you, then you’ll only get to build dream castles in the air.

In the meditation I refer to the Earth Star Chakra.  You can imagine it as a glossy black ball of energy that exists 6 inches below the ground.  Black is all the colours of the spectrum mixed together – as a colour it’s the sum of our experiences.  In this context black is neither good or bad, it just is. 

The Earth Star chakra is a representation of our individual connection to life here.  If you’re doing any form of therapeutic energy work, it’s important to have a strong base so that as you grow, so you’re well supported.  If whilst doing Reiki or crystal therapy you find yourself getting light headed, it might be worthwhile checking out how well rooted you are. 

The focus of this meditation is to connect to your Earth Star chakra, to grow more roots to stabilise you and to draw supportive energy up to help you feel refreshed and balanced.
